As a working mom, I have to make every minute count. This goes for lunch time as well. I strive for the healthiness or nutrition of my kid’s meals but I also need to make it enticing for him to eat. When parents go to make their kids lunches, they typically run through the three questions:
-What do we have in the house?
-What do we have that’s healthy?
-What do we have that he will eat?
Thanks to a recent trip to Walmart, I was able to get all of the back to school lunchbox essentials he needs. Now, I just have to put it together. I thought for some holidays, I would do a little something extra.
You’ll notice that I have tried to include the essentials: Protein, Veggie, Fruit, Calcium, Healthy Fats, and Whole Grains. And we can’t forget Wet Ones Singles to clean up his hands, and kill 99.9% of the germs.
I also get his favorites, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers, in different flavors to change things up a little. With so many holidays coming up, I decided to tweak a few items in his lunchbox to get that “holiday flair”. See if you can see what I did below…
